The Nelson Library is teaming up with Certified Financial Planner Peggy DeVries to offer a series of free seminars towards financial literacy.  With 25 years’ experience in financial services, Peggy brings to these seminars a wealth of information to assist people, regardless of income, towards greater financial literacy.  The 90-minute seminars take place at 7:00 p.m. on the Library lower floor. 

Solving Your Retirement Puzzle reviews the various government benefits available like Canada Pension Plan and Old Age Security as well as ways to maximize those benefits and potentially lower taxes. In addition, investors learn how to ensure their own savings will be sufficient to meet their retirement goals. They will understand the 5 step planning process for their finances, analyze
their current pre-retirement situation and recognize the importance of retirement planning.
